LONDON: Johnny Depp, the Golden Globe-winning actor, has donated money to the Great Ormond Street Hospital who treated his daughter, Lily-Rose.

He said that he hoped people would “dig deep” for what he called a “magical hospital”.

“The darkest days of my family’s life were spent within the walls of Great Ormond Street Hospital. It was an extremely anxious time, full of unknowns, and the most frightening period of our lives. But, owing to the phenomenal care shown by all the staff, they not only brought us continued hope on a daily basis, but ultimately saved my daughter’s young life.”

Lily-Rose Depp, now a 16-year-old model and actress, was admitted to the hospital in 2007, aged seven. She had fallen seriously ill while her father was filming Sweeney Todd at Pinewood Studios.

’I will be forever

He said: “I was amazed to witness the nurses, doctors, and all involved, approach their work with such great LONDON: She’s spoken out about her reluctance to leave Australia and looking at Lady Kitty Spencer’s recent Instagram feed it’s not hard to see why.

The 24-year-old socialite who grew up in Cape Town has been soaking up the sunshine and taking in the beautiful views as she enjoys a stay on the Orpheus Island, a secluded destination on the Great Barrier Reef. As well as documenting the beautiful scenery Lady Kitty has also been seen showing off her shape.

In one snap Princess Diana’s diligence and purity of heart that no matter the severity of the situation, every child was treated with the same love and expertise. By all this, I was profoundly moved and I will be forever grateful and eternally beholden to these infinitely courageous, kind and professional individuals.”

Depp went on to praise the “world-class skills and knowledge” of the hospital’s medical teams.

Depp, known for his roles in Alice in Wonderland and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, added: “I hope people dig deep and give generously to this magical hospital, so it can continue to be a home away from home for sick children and their families, and house the worldclass skills and knowledge that will hopefully help all of our babies to get better.” – The Independent niece is seen wearing a bright red bandeau bikini as she takes a dip in crystal-clear water.

Kitty is also pictured with a snorkel mask out and a plunging wet suit. And it appears that during her stay Kitty has been making the most of the destination’s facilities.

Kitty has been enjoying her time in Australia and as well as attending events in Sydney where she was also spotted hitting up the beach with media personality James Tobin.

The blonde, who was thought to be in a relationship with property tycoon, Niccolo Barattierir di San Pietro, 44, has also travelled up some of the east coast of the country.

She had jetted outfor the Melbourne Cup and the horseracing season and she thoroughly enjoyed her time at the races.

And it appears that the beauty has really fallen for Australia, during her time here.

Speaking at the premiere of the movie In The Heart Of The Sea in Sydney last week Lady Kitty said: “I’m having a wonderful time and I really, really, don’t want to go home. I think Emirates might just be like ‘Can you go home now’.” – Daily Mail
