Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition)
Choose a seaside lifestyle close to all amenities for your retirement
WHEN I wrote this editorial on Eventide, one of CPOA’s latest retirement homes in the heart of historical Muizenberg, I decided to take another look at this development and envisioned what a client would appreciate when looking at a place like Eventide.
Most importantly 24hr security, independent living apartments with brand new upmarket finishes in the bathroom and kitchen including an oven with two plate hob.
Downstairs we have three sitting rooms (one with a big screen TV) to entertain friends as well as a kitchen and small dining room on the ground floor if you`re having someone over for lunch.
There is a built in braai outside as well as a coin operated laundry facility, Zen like garden areas and limited secured parking.
However, as nice as the facility is I don’t think the facility is as big an attraction as the location and lifestyle the area of Muizenberg offers. Not only does the area of Muizenberg, Fish Hoek and Simon’s Town offer a lifestyle built for retirement where walking on the beach and enjoying the most amazing sunrises and sunsets would become a part of your daily routine, but also the offer of all the little coffee shops and restaurants and all the other attractions that goes with it.
As I was driving through Muizenberg I was reminded of what is all on offer like the curio shops, from bead shops to antique shops to rare book shops and unending treasure coves of things to see and experience and if this doesn’t satisfy you, then there is the huge range of social group and activities for just about every type of personality.
Not only do you have social groups for writers, art fanatics and too many others to mention, but also fun activities like hiking and a whole range of different sports activities. See the advertisement for details.
