Klerksdorp site ripe for new development
A PRIME development site on the banks of the Johan Neser Dam near Klerksdorp was sold for R3.6 million under the ClareMart Auction Group gavel at the Maracana A Room, Rio Casino Convention Resort, Meiringspark on June 8.
“The development formed part of a business rescue disposal and has rights for 192 residential opportunities. Most of the bulk services have already been installed and 19 opportunities are ready to go to market immediately,” says legal auctions director, MC du Toit.
The Ambegeto Water Estates and Extensions is 7km outside Klerksdorp on the way to Ventersburg. The estate consists of 84 residential erven of which 15 have already been proclaimed, and 112 sectional title units in 14 blocks of eight units each.
“In addition to these nine extensions the developer could also explore the possibility of creating a potential tenth extension, which would allow for even more development. With planning and construction being at the stage they are, the developers are looking forward to continuing with the projects,” says Du Toit.
“Klerksdorp is a main economic hub in the North West. It is one of the country’s gold mining centres and is tipped to be a large uranium mining dis- trict in the near future. Klerksdorp has been described in the South African Police Service’s crime statistics report as one of the safer cities in the country.”
