Azure on the Bay nears completion as handovers imminent

-

BUYERS at Asrin Property Developers’ Azure on the Bay development at Big Bay will begin to receive the keys to their apartments soon, with practical completion now having been reached and full completion of the development expected by the middle of next month, says Shiraaz Hassan, commercial director for Asrin.

Construction began 16 months ago and since then confidence in the market and the product has improved, he says.

“Of the 83 apartments only three are left for sale and he expects these to be sold by the time handovers begin. Apartments were priced from R1.8 million to R3.5m, and the last three are priced around R2.6m.

“Buyer commitment was very high from the beginning with many willing to put down as much as 50 percent to 70 percent of the listing price as cash deposits.”

Hassan says buyers were attracted by the design of the building, with its landscaped, sheltered communal courtyard area with a pool, basement parking, and view corridors placed so that each unit has a view of either Table Bay, the courtyard or the sea. In addition, being close to the sea and a stone’s throw from the popular Eden on the Bay retail and lifestyle centre allows discerning buyers to enjoy the West Coast beach lifestyle without having to drive anywhere.

“The fact that buyers get all the benefits of beachfront living at a fraction of the cost of many of the Atlantic seaboard suburbs has contributed to Azure’s popularity and we look forward to handing the units over to the new residents here,” says Hassan. “Many of the units have already gained an average of eight percent above inflation in value since the development’s launch.”
