Theft at cop shop

A WOMAN ac­cused of break­ing into a de­tec­tive’s of­fice to re­trieve her hus­band’s con­fis­cated travel doc­u­ments was re­leased on R5 000 bail after ap­pear­ing in the Bel­lville Mag­is­trates Court yes­ter­day.

It was al­leged Jac­que­line Sey­mour, 27, of Oak­glen in Bel­lville, op­er­ated a brothel. She is also charged with at­tempted mur­der in another mat­ter for al­legedly as­sault­ing a brothel client who re­fused to pay.

The court heard dur­ing her ar­rest in that mat­ter, police con­fis­cated her hus­band’s car which con­tained his travel doc­u­ments.

She will ap­pear in court again on Au­gust 28.
