Barclays growth

BARCLAYS Africa yesterday reported revenue growth of 13 percent to R36.5 billion for the six months to June, pointing out business in the rest of Africa continued to grow faster than the local operations.

Headline earnings in South Africa rose 3 percent to R5.9bn , compared with a 33 percent increase in the rest of Africa to R1.3bn.

The group said revenue from the rest of Africa business increased to 23 percent of total revenue.
