How do the students reconcile their call for free, quality education – which most of us support – with the wanton destruction of the very facilities which can help provide this, and which will cost billions to replace?

The CPUT destruction should be left to serve as a painful reminder to the destructive hooligans of how their actions have overpowered their minds. What a disaster. – L van Wyk, Crawford

It sickens me that many students who my taxes have helped subsidise have learned nothing more than how to burn, destroy, vandalise, intimidate and assault. If they want to march, let them go to the Union Buildings, as government corruption and wastage are largely responsible for the bad space higher education finds itself in.

Hey students, don’t destroy the hen that is going to lay the golden eggs for you, your schools of learning. Why not get rid of the rotten eggs that are causing the stink and the stench?
