Yengeni’s case set to come to an end
THE DRUNK driving case against ANC National Executive Committee member Tony Yengeni may finally wrap up early next year after dragging on for more than three years.
Yengeni was arrested on August 11, 2013, for allegedly driving while drunk.
He faced three charges: drunken driving, driving under the influence of alcohol in excess of the prescribed legal limit, as well as reckless and negligent driving.
He pleaded not guilty. His legal representative, Waheed Badrodien, said yesterday that his client was glad the matter is coming to an end.
