Miners get a raise

ANGLO American Platinum (Amplats) announced details of a three-year wage agreement it signed with the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (Amcu) in its Rustenburg operations.

Amcu said it had successfully concluded a three-year wage agreement with Amplats which was way above inflation.

Amplats confirmed the agreement included an annual increase of R1 000, or 7 percent per month in basic pay.
