Celebrities get into the festive spirit

- SIPHELELE BUTHELEZI

WONDERING what your favourite celeb will be doing during the festive season, what they will be eating, and where they will be partying? We found out for you.

I’m going to be working. I’m blessed to have a lot of bookings this festive season.

On Christmas Day, I’ll be in Namibia performing at the Walvis Bay Xmas music festival. New Year’s Eve, I’ll be in Newtown, Rustenburg and Durban. I’m really excited. I just eat whatever is cooked for the family. Christmas food is always delicious.

I buy so many gifts for my mother, my children, my friends and colleagues. They deserve it all.

No. When things calm down in January I’ll think of a perfect getaway.

This festive season is going to be different. After a crazy year I’ll be taking it easy and spending the majority of my time with family at home. I really need the rest and this is the best time.

It’s a tradition for me to spend Christmas Day with family, so that’s exactly how I’m spending it. It’s also my late grandfather’s birthday so we celebrate that, too. I encourage everyone to spend it with their loved ones, it’s a great way to end the year.

I like a full seven-course meal. I’m not specific because my aunt makes an amazing special meal for the day. If it tastes good and leaves me full, then I’m good.

I buy for my sister. She’s always gone out of her way to make people feel special. I like to do the same for her. Early next year, yes. I want to spend it with my family but work has called me to Cape Town. I will be rehearsing for West Side Story.

I would love to spend Christmas in Joburg with my family but it may be in Cape Town. New year will most definitely be in Cape Town.

Roast leg of lamb with roast potatoes and other roasted veggies.

I buy Thomas Sabo jewellery for my mom, dad and brothers.

I’ve just come back from a trip to Mozambique. I was at a beautiful resort in Vilanculos, and then I hopped to another island called Benguera. Paradise is an understatement.

I’m going to Johannesburg for Christmas. For New Year’s Eve, my brother is flying out from London to be with the family and we are both flying to Cape Town to spend the new year with them . I’m not working this festive season, thank goodness. I’ll spend Chri s t mas Day with my family. My mom has just accepted a new pos- ition in another place, so we will be having our last Christmas at the family home, where I spent most of my years growing up. On New Year’s Eve we will probably have a house party. Chicken roast, ribs and pasta.

I’ve been very focused on those who are poor and vulnerable. I definitely buy them a gift. I do something big for them.

I have no plans to go on holiday this year; just to be with my family. I’ve just come back from Portugal and London. I’m taking it easy but in January I might be heading to Europe for a conference. I will be at home in Eldorado Park with my family.

With my family. We always have Christmas lunch with underprivileged kids in Eldorado Park. We don’t have a family Christmas, but we spend it with those who are less fortunate. We have been doing so for the past 13 years. I’ll spend New Year’s Eve overseas. I like my mom’s mutton curry and roti. We buy lunch and toys for the underprivileged kids. We don’t spend money on ourselves. I am going to Jamaica and Mexico with friends.
