Enjoy harvest day in Elgin valley

HARVEST season in the Winelands is drawing to a close but there is still the family friendly Cluver Family Harvest Day, on April 1 from 11am till 4pm.

The venue is the picturesque family-owned Paul Cluver Wines in the heart of the Elgin wine valley. Less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town, this promises to be a fun day out. Choose to self-drive or, even better, embark on a scenic train trip departing from Cape Town station at 9am. The journey should take about two hours. Upon arrival in Elgin you’ll be met by a fleet of John Deere tractors ready to transport you to your final destination. The train will return to Cape Town at 4pm. While adults sample the cider and wines on offer, children can get stuck into oldschool fun and games. Live music adds the final touches.

Tickets are R250 for adults and R100 for children under 18. A family package (two adults, two children) is R550. A return train ticket is R500 (children under 18 travel free). Your ticket includes entry, a tasting glass and a booklet of tasting coupons. The children’s ticket includes entry and a Huckleberry Finn pack (pre-booked tickets only).
