Ebola fight in DRC

A RACE against the clock has begun to contain an outbreak of Ebola in northern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the World Health Organisati­on (WHO) said.

Twenty cases have been reported in the DRC’s Bas Uele province, near the border with the Central African Republic, two have been confirmed and three people have died so far, the WHO said.

Signs of the disease were noticed early this month, all involving bleeding. – ANA
