Mountain and market magic

Bid for NY loft-style flat in CBD, online

-

PROPERTY. COZA has been instructed to sell a beautifully renovated 159m² apartment in a prime location in the Cape Town CBD by online auction.

“The location of the apartment, in Burg Street, is as central as anyone could wish for, overlooking well- known Greenmarket Square and the flea market, with a stunning view of Table Mountain,” says Mark Gadd, head of Property. CoZa’s auction division.

“Namaqua House, where the apartment is situated, is surrounded by popular restaurants and coffee shops with easy access to all amenities and destinations such as the V&A Waterfront and Table Mountain.”

Unit 502, which is located on the fifth floor of Namaqua House at 36C Burg Street, has a New York loft-style feel, with an easy flow and plenty of natural light filtering through, he says.

The open-plan apartment has two very large bedrooms, which are both en suite. There is also a guest toilet. One bedroom has a balcony overlooking the market and both have double-glazed windows.

The kitchen is upmarket, with European finishes, including a built-in Smeg oven and hob. “The sale will include a secure undercover parking bay – which is often hard to find, especially in the city centre – and a good-sized storeroom as well,” he says.

Gadd points out that a reserve price has been set at well below the market-related price for similar properties in the area.

The apartment may be viewed on Saturday mornings and by appointment only.

Bids will close at 3pm on Friday, June 30, unless the property is sold before then, he adds.

A deposit of 5% of the purchase price and the auctioneers’ commission of 10% plus VAT, will be payable on the seller’s acceptance of the offer.

For further details or a copy of the terms and conditions relating to offers to purchase, contact Mark Gadd at mark. gadd@propertycoza.co.za or on 081 770 5017.
