Book date with Cape Town Book Sale

-

THERE is nothing better than curling up with a good book and escaping from the world for a while. The Cape Town Book Sale takes place at the V&A Waterfront from June 16-18 and promises to be one of the largest, with several local book shops being represented.

“These include Bargain Books, Wordsworth Books, Books 24/7, Wilstan Books, Hargrave Library Services and Caxton Books, with the sole objective of selling multilingual, multicultural books that will appeal to all book lovers at the lowest prices available in Cape Town,” says event spokesperson Lesley Ferreira.

On offer will be, among others, popular fiction/non-fiction; hardcovers/paperbacks; English/Afrikaans/other languages; academic; religious and children’s books.

On Sunday, June 18, dads can get in free. Visit the Cape Town Book Sale page on Facebook (not the event), click the “claim offer” button and take the email you receive with you.

Tickets are R25 through Webtickets. Children under 12 enter free. It opens at 9am and closes at 10pm and if you get a Beat The Crowd ticket (R125) you go in from 9am till 10.30am to get first dibs.
