Killer cop dead

POLICE have opened an inquest docket after a 40-year-old member of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) opened fire and shot at his wife and mother-in-law, before committing suicide in Ga-Rakgoatha village, in Limpopo.

The mother-in-law died instantly, said spokesman Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

“The member resided at Emdo Park, Polokwane. It is alleged he had a domestic dispute with his wife on Thursday. The wife then ran away to her parental home in Magatle,” said Ngoepe.

“He later followed her and on arrival started shooting both the wife and his mother-in-law.

“The wife survived with serious gunshot wounds and she is recuperating in hospital. The officer was found lying dead… with a bullet wound in the head.” – ANA
