Incorrect debt figure

I NEED to apologise unreservedly for carelessly and wrongly stating in my letter (“The power is in our hands”, Weekend Argus, June 10) that the cost of servicing South Africa’s national debt is R162.4 trillion. My statement is patently wrong. The cost is, in fact, R162.4 billion.
