ALL PREPAID meters are installed by the city, but the property owner is responsible for any preparation work required to house the meter and/or user interface.

Prepaid electricity meters are built to specifications by external companies. These meters are tested twice against specific national standards before they are installed at a customer’s premises – once by the manufacturer before delivery and again by the city on delivery.
