IT’S a gorgeous weekend in the Mother City and that means a host of outdoor activities for young and old to indulge in.

Here’s our pick of things to do in and around Cape Town today and tomorrow.

#SANBeerDay 2018: Calling all beer lovers! The second annual National Beer Day (#SANBeerDay) kicks off today, with celebrator­y events scheduled around the city to quench even the most discerning of drinker's tastes.

Newlands Brewery will be offering a series of brewery tours from 10am to 12pm today and it’s free!

However, booking is essential and visitors are encouraged to arrive at least 20 minutes before the tour begins.

Beerhouse on Long is also hosting a special all-day beer event, with 50% off their local tasting tray and other deals to commemorat­e all things beer.

Zando Cape Town 10s: Today is the last day of the 10th annual Zando 10s multisport­s and entertainm­ent festival, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get in on all the action!

Featuring eight sporting discipline­s, including rugby, netball, beach volleyball and the newly introduced five- aside soccer, there’s a sporting something for the whole family.

There’s also a line- up of great local artists, including Fokofpolis­iekar, GoodLuck and Sketchy Bongo, to entertain the crowds while the sportsmen and sportswome­n take to the field. So make your way to Hamilton’s Rugby Club in Green Point and get in on all the action.

Gates open at 8.30am and close at 11.30pm.

The Grind – Obstacle Course Race Day:

Calling all fitness junkies and adventure enthusiast­s: it’s time to embrace The Grind! With four different obstacle courses to challenge all levels of participan­ts’ fitness, the 5km course features 30 obstacles.

Whether you’re a working mom, student, weekend warrior or elite athlete, head over to the Cape Town Ostrich Ranch and prepare to get fit, get muddy and have tons of fun! There are also prizes to be won.
