Estate now offers retirees eight choices

-

NEW APARTMENTS and two additional units are being developed in the sought-after retirement village The Plettenberg Manor.

Developed by the Devmark Property Group, the village will now offer residents eight accommodation types ranging from apartments to exclusive three-bedroom homes designed in a Cape vernacular style, which juxtaposes the Cape South Coast’s rural charm with sophisticated modern functionality and open-plan living.

In addition to the existing homes and apartments, the newly launched Penguin and Cormorant luxury cottages offer prospective buyers two- bedroom and two- bathroom units selling from R2.345 million.

Prices for the other units range from R1.450m to R3.825m.

The first houses will be ready for occupation early this year, says Hein Ehlers, chief executive Devmark Property Group.

“The Gatehouse and Entrance Road were completed at the end of November 2017, and 24-hour medical home care from Medwell was available from this month.”

As part of the first phase of construction, the former Keurbooms River Hotel will be restored and refurbished to function as the estate’s clubhouse.

“The clubhouse will include a restaurant, coffee shop, ladies’ bar, beauty salon, convenience store, assisted-living suites and a healthcare centre including a 24- bed frailcare centre.

“For the young at heart, the clubhouse’s vitality wing will offer exciting options to stay fit, with a fully equipped gymnaisum and swimming pool.”

Ehlers says the safety and security of everyone at The Plettenberg Manor is a priority.
