MUSIC, PICNICS AND FAMILY EASTER FESTIVITIES

- BIANCA COLEMAN

FOLLOWING three sold-out events this summer, there will be one more Piekniek en Musiek concert at Zevenwacht Wine Estate in Kuils River tomorrow featuring Touch Of Class, Dewald Wasserfall and Monique Steyn.

“Due to the incredible popularity of Afrikaans music and the passionate way South Africans support these artists, we knew the concerts would be a success – or so we trusted.

“Well, the way that the local community surpassed our expectations left us speechless, to say the least. So after a bit of negotiation, pulling out all stops, together with the support of our sponsors, we’re delighted that we’re indeed able to present a fourth concert,” said organiser Ian Bredenkamp.

“And then as an added bonus, it’s Easter weekend,” he said.

“What could possibly be more special than spending quality family time together while young and old are entertained by artists who had releases that all featured in the top 10 last year? Oh, and for the youngsters, we have an added surprise with some Easter egg adventures awaiting them.”

The picnic area will be available from 2pm when gates open and picnic baskets can be ordered in advance. There will be a variety of food trucks, drinks and bar areas as well. The concert will finish by 6.30pm.

Tickets – via Webtickets or at Pick n Pay – are R170 for adults, R75 for children between the ages of 3 and 12, and fans younger than 3 can join in the fun at no charge.

Tickets are available at Pick n Pay or through Webtickets. For more information, e-mail ian@ ianbredenkampmedia.com
