DELICIOUS
Whisky Live Celebration is back with household names and an international flavour
Patrons looking for smoky, sweet and floral-flavoured blends can enjoy smooth operators such as Scottish Leader, combining smoke and honey. The 12 Year
Old recently won gold at the
2018 World Whiskies awards. Enthusiasts can again look forward to the elegantly balanced smoky and fruity flavours of
Black Bottle, with notes of sweet oak and cinnamon.
Tommy Dewar had two passions: whisky and chickens. Apart from making the awardwinning Dewar’s Blended Scotch, legend has it that Tommy raised pedigree chickens which laid some of the best eggs, bringing the Dewar’s Scotch Egg Club to life. You’ve got to see it to believe it.
Consol join us with its pop-up whisky-inspired kegtail bar and offers patrons a complimentary cocktail. Consol will be providing ticket holders with a bottle of Still Water, naturally, in glass! Fancy yourself a smoky dram? For lovers of all things peat, the aromatic and harmoniously balanced Highland Park with its strong Viking roots, is back at the Whisky Live Celebration. For a subtly peated whisky, Bunnahabhain Islay Single Malt will definitely not disappoint. The legendary Master of the Quaich, Pierre Meintjes, will be presenting Bunnahabhain with his worldclass storytelling and whiskytasting advice. Taste South Africa’s internationally award-winning whiskies, Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky and Three Ships Whisky, in the company of master distiller Andy Watts and distillery manager Jeff Green.
Watts took the title of Rest of the World master distiller/ master blender of the year at the 2018 Whisky Magazine’s Icons of Whisky awards in London recently. They are made at the James Sedgwick Distillery, Africa’s only commercial whisky distillery, in Wellington.
Jack Daniel’s returns to Whisky Live and offers Old No 7 to Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel and Gentleman Jack. Made in Kentucky, spicy newcomer Buffalo Trace has an outstanding aroma, rich, complex and smooth in taste.
