Dial M for Murder. English playwright Frederick Knott wrote the stage play and the screenplay for Alfred Hitchcock’s famous film.

This popular thriller is being staged by the Fish Hoek Dramatic Society at the Masque in Muizenberg from May 4-12. The shenanigan­s revolve around a profession­al tennis player who is married to a wealthy socialite. Tickets are R80-R90. Book at Computicke­t.

These Boots were Made for Walking. This play, written by Delia Sainsbury, is on at The Galloway Theatre, Waterfront Theatre School on May 11 and 13 at 7.30pm and May 12 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. This piece, which follows four women who inherit the same pair of boots, was first staged in 2013 by Sainsbury to “highlight the emotional abuse of women and how young women become inveigled into relationsh­ips”.
