The farm covers 196ha and includes a renovated main house, a guest house, a cottage, a pack house with adjacent cottage, a barn with two rooms that could be used as an office, two storerooms, a chemical storeroom and a swimming pool.

The main house has four bedrooms, one en suite, and a family bathroom.

There is a garage for four cars, a garden office, a horse paddock and a chicken coop.

The guest house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open-plan kitchen and dining area.

The cottage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms with an open-plan kitchen and dining area.

The worker’s cottage has one bedroom and an en-suite bathroom.

Harmony Farm is “a project in progress”, with 40% of the arable irrigated land still uncultivated.

Crops currently grown on the farm include 6.5ha of olive groves, a 6.7ha vineyard, 2.1ha of apricots, 3ha of peaches, and 2.9ha of lucerne.

“In addition, there are 13.5ha of irrigated arable land and three hectares of dry land, and a further 0.15ha is devoted to growing organic vegetables. The remainder of the farm is veld.

“The farm is fully certified for GlobalGap, enabling its fruit to be exported, and grape sales fall under the Wine and Agricultural Ethical Trade Association (Wieta).”

Harmony’s water sources consist of six boreholes, of which four have pumps, with a total volume of 42 000m³ of water in winter. The farm has the right to extract water from the Keisie and Ou Huis rivers, which feed five dams. The boreholes also provide water for three of the five dams.

The farm will be auctioned at noon on June 27. A list implements that will be included with the purchase of the property can be obtained by contacting Rawson Auctions.

The reserve price for the property is R9.8 million, but all offers will be considered. This commercial farm is VATregistered.
