Acorn Creek is nearing completion
CONSTRUCTION of Acorn Creek Lifestyle Estate, which occupies an 18ha site next to Sitari Country Estate, is forging ahead, and is almost ready to home its first residents.
With two large oak trees flanking the entrance and a creek (the Moddergatspruit) running the entire length, Acorn Creek will offer a true village feeling, says David Britz, director of sales and marketing for developers Multi Spectrum Property.
The 38 homes in phase two, now on sale, offer 10 designs, five of which have been specifically designed for their site. The use of cobblestones and archways ( known as coachman’s entrances) provides clear lines of sight to custom-designed focal points, parks and water features. The architecture is contemporary Cape vernacular, with walls kept low for the village feel.
Britz says phase two homes range in size from 175.5m2 to 224m2 and prices start at R2.384 million, including transfer duty and VAT.
All offer three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, single or double garages and covered patios. In terms of fittings, Grohe taps, granite kitchen tops, a gas hob with electric oven and cooker hood and built-in braais are standard. Some home designs include a fireplace, and the buyer can choose between a gas or wood-burning option. A wide selection of carpets and tiles is available.
“A solar geyser system and panels are standard on every roof, with a hybrid power back-up solar system that will save residents up to R500 a month on electricity.
“Acorn Creek also has a grey water collection and distribution system.”
The first phase of luxury apartments at Acorn Creek, which will be ready for occupation early next year, are also now on sale.
