Sea Point bachelor flat is two-minute walk from beach

-

A BACHELOR apartment in central Sea Point, just two minutes’ walk from the beach and the promenade, and close to shops on the busy Main Road, will be up for auction on July 25.

Kew Gardens, the block in which the flat is situated, is opposite The Point shopping centre in Regent Road.

It has a well-maintained garden, 24-hour security and a lift, says Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions Western Cape.

The 21m² apartment comprises one bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen with built-in cupboards and tiled floors throughout.

“The buyer will have the option of occupying the apartment, or leasing it out for a monthly rental income,” Jovanovski says.

“Flats in Sea Point are extremely popular among students and young work professionals.

“It could be rented out for long or short-term lets, or on a daily basis via Airbnb, if the body corporate of the block will permit this.”

The apartment will be vacant on transfer.

The property will go on auction at noon on July 25 at the Rawson Property Group’s head office at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.

No registration fee is required to bid . However, the buyer will be expected to pay a deposit of 5% of the purchase price, and 10% commission plus VAT over and above the purchase price on the seller’s acceptance of the bid.

Bidders are required to be registered and must have with them certified copies of their identity documents and proof of residence.
