No rainbow nation in DA

-

JUST like my play pal Humpty Dumpty, Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille did not fall, she was pushed!

She was pushed by Mmusi Maimane and her many enemies and detractors, many of whom, ironically, are from the DA.

It’s hard to be in the middle when the black and white tribes put the squeeze on you, a bit like being caught in the centre of a gigantic Oreo biscuit!

There’s no rainbow nation in the DA any more. It does matter in good old South Africa if you are black or white.

Now that the honeymoon between the Independent Democrats and the DA is finally over, with no need for a divorce decree from the courts, the bride has agreed to ride off into to the sunset, gagged and bound.

I wonder who Maimane will be wooing and grooming from the coloured community next?

The coloured voters have the numbers in the Western Cape and they said no to Thabo Mbeki and Jacob Zuma, and their ANC.

Will they say yes to the Buffalo Soldier, or should that be hunter, President Cyril Ramaphosa?

Can he lead them to his party like his prized Ugandan cattle?

For him to do that he must listen to their needs, like how affirmative action works against them and their battles for work and selfdetermination.

Why did the ANC take so long to hand back District Six and other parts of the Cape that coloureds were removed from by the National Party?

How long must they wait and protest for houses?

When are drug dealers, gangsters and criminals going to be brought to book?

De Lille comes from a political, freedom-fighting background, like the PAC and later the ID.

She was one of the few that were instrumental in having the arms deal scandal exposed and investigated.

We trust that whatever she does will be in the best interest of South Africa, South Africans as a whole and the often maligned and marginalised coloured community.

‘When are drug

brought to book?’
