Salt River home in industrial node is ripe for renovation

A TWO-BEDROOM home in

Salt River, which represents an investment opportunit­y, will be brought to auction on August 29 by Rawson Auctions Western Cape, says franchisee Tanya Jovanovski.

The property, which Jovanovski describes as “a renovator’s dream”, is situated on Salt River Road and has an open-plan lounge/dining area, a kitchen and bathroom.

If renovated, the property could serve as the new owner’s home or be rented out as residentia­l accommodat­ion or converted into business premises, she says.

“The property is centrally located in an industrial node and offers high visibility. Given that the majority of properties on Salt River Road are industrial or commercial, we believe there would be a high probabilit­y of obtaining business zoning for this property if the buyer should wish to apply for it,” says Jovanovski.

The 91m2 property is situated opposite a security company.

The reserve price is R1.5 million, but all offers will be reviewed.

The auction will be held at noon on August 29 at Rawson Property Group’s head office at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.
