WHAT’S ON DRINKS

GIN, BUBBLY AFFAIR ON THE BEACH

-

WHAT better way to celebrate the beginning of summer than by enjoying it on a private beach, sipping the finest bubbly and sampling the coolest local craft and international gins? The Wade Bales Cap Classique And Gin Affair returns to Grand Africa Café & Beach on October 27 and 28.

With more than 75 of South Africa’s premium MCCs awaiting you (all made in the traditional Méthode Champenoise style), you’ll get to enjoy the likes of Graham Beck, Steenberg, Simonsig, Tanzanite, Boschendal and Silverthorn, among others.

Then taste the fastest-growing spirit in the world; there will be 50 craft and international gins to sample, with producers present to share their knowledge and unique insights into what makes their product irresistible.

Grand Africa Café & Beach will complement the stylish and sophisticated event with spectacular views, great music and the feeling of sand between your toes.

“We want to showcase the best South Africa has to offer alongside world-class international brands,” says Bales. “Two of the season’s hottest tipples, together with a great crowd at Cape Town’s trendy Grand Africa Café & Beach – it’s going to be an experience you don’t want to miss!”

The event takes place from 1pm until 5pm on both days. Tickets are R350 from Quicket and include a Champagne glass, unlimited tastings of all bubbly and gin products showcased on the day, as well as six fresh oysters to round off the occasion.
