When the going gets tough, PlumRus helps you get going

THERE are not enough homes for the elderly. The demand exceeds the availability and therefore Plumstead Rusoord’s initiative to assist the elderly in the comfort of their own homes/flats which also allow for the enhancing of family structures said Mr George Holtzhausen, Manager of Plumstead Rusoord.

The services provided by PlumRus CSC, empowered by Plumstead Record includes a variety of service types, from early morning, afternoon to evening, evenings, full day for working children and full day and night (24x7) care as well.

The focus is on basic home based care or day care with many add-ons like transport to doctors, cleaning, laundry, gardening and trips to Plumstead Rusoord where our Service Centre Members are able to partake in activities, meals or visit the Coffee Shop on site.

Part of our initiative is also the decentralisation of our Service Centres, because of our extensive waiting list we have already opened 3 de-centralised Service Centres in Lavender Hill, Retreat and Steenberg and we hope to open many more through which we would be able to serve the Elderly in our surrounding communities.

Our dream is to create a hub where Elderly persons are safe, happy and homely with abundant friends and to assist Elderly persons by caring for them in the comfort of their own homes/ flats.
