UK INDIE rockers James will return to South Africa after 18 years.

This time, the enduring multiplatinum band will perform for the first time in Cape Town, at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.

One of the most influential indie bands, James was propelled from the musical tinderbox of early 1980s Manchester and the “Madchester”

movement of the 1990s into an enduring global career spanning 30 years with hit after hit, including Sit Down, She’s A Star, Laid, and Getting Away With It.

They have thrilled their global fan base with more than 20 UK Top 40 singles and millions in album sales worldwide.

James released their 15th studio album, Living in Extraordinary Times, in August, and followed up with their “Living in Extraordinary Times” world tour.

“We are looking forward to playing to the boys and girls at the end of the world (from our corner of the world). If you enjoyed our last trip, evangelise this to your friends, and we can make this a regular liaison,” said frontman Tim Booth.

Their energy, longevity and love of touring cements their status as one of the most iconic British bands to see perform live, and a show which South African fans should not miss.

Sharing the stage with the UK rockers is two-time SA Music Awardwinning act, Watershed.
