Restaurant assets under hammer

Items on offer in Stellenbosch include children’s play equipment, pizza oven, shelving, tables and CCTV equipment

WESTERN Cape Auctions will sell the entire contents of a well-known pizza restaurant, located in the Eikestad shopping centre, at a public auction in Stellenbosch at 11am on Tuesday.

Among the items on offer will be a children’s jungle gym featuring various pieces of play equipment, says auctioneer Chris Baard.

Potential buyers will also find a wide range of catering equipment on offer, including a Lincoln single-deck conveyor pizza oven, a cold room, stainless steel tables, stainless steel shelving, a pot sink, pot shelves, granite tops, a fat trap, a waffle machine and a 30-litre spiral dough mixer, as well as many smaller items such as stainless steel bowls, glassware, cutlery, cutting boards and utensils.

In addition, restaurant furniture, including double-sided benches, single free-standing benches and sun-resistant rattan tables and chairs, will be available.

Other items will include lights and fittings, CCTV equipment, indoor and outdoor speakers and safety glass and wooden panels.

Baard says all the equipment, which has been dismantled, is in very good condition.

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view the assets before the auction.

All the auction items may be viewed on Monday from 10am and 4pm.

The auction will be conducted in Shop E302 (the former drama department), which is located opposite the Spur restaurant in the Eikestad mall, on Tuesday.

Prospective buyers will each be required to pay a refundable deposit of R5000 and supply the auctioneers with a copy of their identity document and proof of address.

Registration will take place from 9am on the auction day, or call Western Cape Auctions’ office to register before the time. Payments should be made by EFT. No cash will be accepted at the premises.
