Furniture, appliances on offer at Saturday auction

BIDWAY Auction House’s first Saturday auction of 2019 will be a massive sale, with furniture and appliances worth more than R800 000 to go under the hammer.

“The items on offer have been sourced from the showroom floors of furniture retail stores that have closed,” says auctioneer Stef Olivier. “We have been entrusted to auction these goods as we specialise in disposing of movable assets, and hold almost weekly auctions offering assets including top quality furniture, appliances, catering equipment, tools, engineering equipment and vehicles.”

Among the furniture that will go under the hammer in the sale are more than 15 different styles of leather recliner lounge suites, 10 sets of dining room tables and chairs, 30 bedroom suites in various designs, 15 cabinet ranges for kitchens, 25 plasma stands and entertainment units, coffee tables and wardrobes, he says.

The appliances will include combination fridge/freezers and gas stoves from Smeg, and Samsung fridges, washing machines and dishwashers, as well as a large selection of flat-screen TVs and audio-visual equipment.

The auction will be held at Bidway Auction House’s premises at 179 Albert Road, Woodstock, at 11am on February 2.

The auction assets may be viewed on February 1 between 9am and 4pm, and also on the morning of the auction, from 9am until the start of the event at 11am.
