Congratulations to the 2018 matriculants for their excellent achievements

-

‘WE are very proud of the class of 2018 and all who have supported them in their quest for excellence.’ Shaun Simpson, Headmaster.

Rondebosch Boys’ High School would like to congratulate our 2018 Matriculants for their excellent achievements in the National Senior Certificate examinations. For the eleventh consecutive year, our young men achieved a 100% pass rate.

This is a busy school where boys participate in a range of activities, often at the highest level, making these academic results even more commendable. Such outstanding marks stem from the boys’ hard work, their teachers’ dedicated instruction and the unwavering support of the wonderful community that is “Bosch”.

Two of our boys deserve a special mention:

Timothy Schlesinger was named in the top 29 performers in the NSC and was placed third overall in the Western Province. For Mathematics, he came first in the province and second nationally.

Razeen Parker placed in the top 20 in the Western Province with 8 distinctions and 100% in Mathematics and Physical Sciences.

Our Art Department also celebrated another successful year with Julian Banks placing first in the Western Cape for Visual Arts. This is our third consecutive year in achieveing this accolade – Simon Carletti in 2016, followed jointly by Dennis Buckland and Laurens Salih in 2017.

Rondebosch Boys’ High School pursues excellence in all education.

The vibrant and multicultural diversity within our school promotes an atmosphere of acceptance and a platform for all to explore the opportunities on offer. With pride and passion, we maintain outstanding academic standards whilst embracing cultural, sporting and social endeavours to prepare learners for adult life.

In celebrating our upcoming 125th Anniversary a new vision was created to prepare both the school and its students for the future:

‘The young men of Rondebosch Boys’ High School are confident and able to pursue their dreams. They are resilient and adaptable, equipped with the educational, ethical, social and emotional competencies to effect significant and lasting change in a changing world.’
