- Auctions Writer

IN2ASSETS Properties will be auctioning a dairy production facility in Howick, KZN, on November 18 at 11am at the Mount Edgecombe Country Club.

The movables will be auctioned separately by Peter Maskell Auctioneers.

Bidders for the movables can submit their bids online from noon on November 12 until noon on November 16.

The sale of the property and the movables form part of the liquidation of three companies: Dairy Day, Chantilly Trading 20 and Honeydew Dairies.

The 11.4 hectare site has a cold-storage warehouse and dairy-processing plant, attached admin offices, logistics offices and other improvements, with a gross building area of about 24 224m². The improvements are fairly new and in good condition.

The property is set along the N3 and is accessed off Main Road (R107). Main Road branches off the N3 at the Howick North / Tweedie off-ramp.

The moveable items include Guth 15 000 litre per hour pasteurising lines, 600kg per hour butter line, Guth yogurt lines, Guth CIP lines, an evaporating and drying plant and a large quantity of stainless-steel tanks.

“The property is zoned light industrial, with freely permitted use, which offers versatile opportunities for a manufacturing plant, distribution centre or to continue as a dairy processing plant,” the auction company says.
