SPAR champions youth development at netball festival
SPAR, a dedicated supporter of community initiatives, proudly continues its support of the St Dunstan’s Easter Festival by the sponsorship of two netball teams at the 7th Annual Easter Sports Festival, held at St Dunstan’s
College.
This marks another milestone in SPAR’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and grass roots sports development.
As one of the main sponsors of the Easter Sports Festival for the seventh consecutive year, SPAR continues to invest in initiatives that nurture talent and promote active lifestyles among youth.
This year, SPAR’s involvement took on special significance as it sponsored two netball teams, reiterating its dedication to fostering the growth and development of young female athletes.
The sponsored teams, part of St Dunstan’s College’s developmental project, received support for uniforms and transportation to sports events and practices.
By partnering with the college in this endeavour, SPAR aims to provide these young girls with the resources and encouragement they need to excel in netball and beyond.
“We are thrilled to support the aspiring athletes of St Dunstan’s
College through our sponsorship of their netball teams,” said Marlene Gunther, sponsorship controller, SPAR South Rand Division.
“These young girls represent the future of sports, and we are proud to play a role in helping them achieve their full potential.”
The impact of SPAR’s sponsorship extends beyond the sporting arena, instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and determination in the participants, she said.
“Through initiatives like these, SPAR reaffirms its commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young women and empowering them to pursue their dreams.”
