Pork loin chops with sweet chilli sauce

PORK LOIN CHOPS WITH SWEET CHILLI SAUCE

SAUCE

180 ml (¾ c) sweet

chilli sauce

80 ml (¹⁄₃ c) tomato purée 80 ml (¹⁄₃ c) grape or

apple juice

30 ml (2 T) apple cider

vinegar or rice vinegar 15 ml (1 T) soy sauce

5 ml (1 t) wholegrain

mustard (or more)

MEAT

4 pork loin chops,

4 cm thick salt and pepper olive oil

COLESLAW

1 pack (300 g) coleslaw

mix handful of sultanas, raisins, currants or chopped dates

125 ml (½ c) full-cream

yoghurt

80 ml (¹⁄₃ c) toasted

pumpkin seeds

80 ml (¹⁄₃ c) chopped

fresh coriander

1 Sauce Mix the ingredient­s.

2 Meat Rub the chops with salt and pepper and a little oil and seal the meat over hot coals. Brush with the sauce and braai for 10-15 minutes or until just done, brushing often with the sauce.

3 Colesaw Mix the ingredient­s and serve with the chops.

SERVES4 Preparatio­n 20 min Braaiing 10-15 min (depending on the thickness)
