Baked apples

Preparatio­n

Braaiing 1 pineapple, cut into large cubes

300 g strawberri­es, halved

3-4 kiwi fruit, cut into large cubes 250 ml (1 c) brandy (optional)

4 bars (55 g each) Bar-One chocolate,

roughly chopped

250 ml (1 c) cream summer berry compote (recipe left,

optional)

Soak 6 kebab skewers in water to prevent them from catching alight.

1 Thread the fruit onto the skewers and marinate in the brandy (if using) for 1-2 hours. Braai over moderate coals for about 10-15 minutes or until softened and browned.

2 Melt the chocolate bars in a pan over the coals, adding the cream as they melt.

3 Serve the kebabs with the chocolate sauce or berry compote (recipe left).
