Cheesy mush­rooms with avo­cado spread

8 gi­ant brown mush­rooms salt and freshly ground black pep­per 15 ml (1 T) olive oil

8 slices Brie or moz­zarella cheese SPREAD

1 avo­cado, mashed juice of 1 le­mon

60 ml (¼ c) may­on­naise salt and freshly ground black pep­per 1 Mush­rooms Place the mush­rooms on a dou­ble layer of alu­minum foil. Sea­son with salt and pep­per.

2 Driz­zle the olive oil over the mush­rooms and top each with a slice of cheese. Pinch the foil closed and place over hot coals for 10-12 min­utes un­til cooked and the cheese has melted.

3 Spread Mix to­gether all the in­gre­di­ents. Sea­son with salt and pep­per and serve with the mush­rooms.



Serve this de­li­cious side dish as a main meal for vege­tar­ian guests

at a braai.
