Walnut beer bread

There’s no limit to beer bread variations. Walnuts are a delicious addition in this version.

1 packet (500 g) self-raising flour 125-250 ml (½-1 c) bran

100 g walnuts, roughly chopped (keep

a few unbroken halves for the top) 1 can (340 ml) beer plus 125 ml

(½ c) butter to serve

Preheat the oven to 180 °C and grease a roasting pan.

1 Mix all the ingredient­s and spoon into the prepared roasting pan.

2 Top with the unbroken walnut halves and bake for 30-40 minutes until done.

3 Serve with butter.
