Wal­nut beer bread

There’s no limit to beer bread vari­a­tions. Wal­nuts are a de­li­cious ad­di­tion in this ver­sion.

1 packet (500 g) self-rais­ing flour 125-250 ml (½-1 c) bran

100 g wal­nuts, roughly chopped (keep

a few un­bro­ken halves for the top) 1 can (340 ml) beer plus 125 ml

(½ c) but­ter to serve

Pre­heat the oven to 180 °C and grease a roast­ing pan.

1 Mix all the in­gre­di­ents and spoon into the pre­pared roast­ing pan.

2 Top with the un­bro­ken wal­nut halves and bake for 30-40 min­utes un­til done.

3 Serve with but­ter.
