Work 49 granny motifs as given in the grid and edge them in White when completed. Join squares: Using 3,5 mm hook and White, join each strip to the next strip starting from the bottom of the grid and working upwards until all the strips are joined vertically, then finish by joining horizontally.

To do this, with the motifs WS facing, line up the sts on each motif. Take your hook through one stitch from one side edge of each motif and work a dc.

Cont in this way by taking a st from the side of each motif until you have “seamed” a column.

Rep across the grid until all 7 columns have been joined.
