IREALISE that while we wait for something good to happen, time ‘Unwanted farlessbother goes on and life, love and happiness seem to pass us by. Oh, the good tackledin soonas drudgery of our daily toils! spiritsas theyarise’ It would be a pity to let this attitude spoil our whole life. A silent majority of us just struggle on from one day to the next without pleasure or anticipation. It occurs to me that lack of pleasure in our daily routine is due to our attitude towards life. A task that we do reluctantly ends up being twice the trouble. No, things are only as bad as one lets them be. Many unwanted tasks are far less bother if they’re tackled in good spirits as soon as they arise. Suddenly everything seems easier if you can look upon your chores in a less dispirited way. Work undertaken with cheerful humour makes life far easier to bear. Let’s fall in love with life again. If we make no attempt whatsoever to make the most of life as it presents itself to us, we’ll surely fail. Here’s to a happy life! ROSE, EMAIL get a late start as the nation watches. The Proud And The Defiant, with Jacob Zuma & Co in the lead roles.

For some this political soap opera has become as boring as the EFF’s antics in parliament, but that won’t matter to the architects of the current mayhem. Zuma & Co will continue ducking and diving for cover.

Donald Trump disregarded the status quo in his presidential campaign by saying things most Americans agreed with but were unwilling to say publicly. Here at home, Malema will excel at doing pretty much the same.

Whatever you’re burning to say publicly but can’t, the EFF will say for you as the local media, much like the American media, will give the EFF free airtime. Sure enough, some of the people who listen will agree with the polarising statements and show their agreement at the ballot box come 2019. Just saying. SANDILE NTULI, JOHANNESBURG
