I read the winning letter from a woman seeking companionship ( YOU Say, 11 May) with a distinct feeling of déjà vu.

I’m a widow who also went onto a dating site and also found that men quite a bit older than me were looking for much younger people than me.

Well, I was lucky because eventually I met a person my own age who was looking for a person he could relate to, someone who had the same memories and taste in music, movies and so on.
