WHERE ARE THE KIDS?

While Barack and Michelle have worked hard to stay out of the spotlight, their kids have been even more low-key. Eighteenyear-old Malia (BELOW RIGHT), who reportedly wants to be a filmmaker, is doing a gap-year internship at movie producer Harvey Weinstein’s production company in New York before starting at Harvard, her parents’ alma mater, in September. It’s believed she’ll enrol for a course in visual studies.

Meanwhile Sasha (RIGHT), who was just seven when her family moved into the White House, recently turned 16. She posted pics on Twitter showing her celebrating with her doting parents and a bevy of friends, and looked all grown up in a flashy red dress. She’s still enrolled at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, and is due to graduate in 2019.

Michelle’s mother, Marian Robinson (79), has always been a hands-on gran, so presumably she’s the one looking after Sasha while Barack and Michelle have been on their extended holiday.
