Shoe odour is no match for all-powerful bicarbonate of soda. Liberally sprinkle bicarb in the offending footwear and let it sit overnight, then dump the powder in the morning. Just be careful not to overdo applications when it comes to leather as the powder can dry it out. Another way to keep odour at bay is to put unused teabags inside the shoes. The bags absorb the odour.
