SOMETHING grand happened to me last Wednesday. I got home, unpacked my shopping bags, put on the kettle, kicked off my shoes and opened my YOU – and suddenly I felt as young and zesty as an 18-year-old.

Thanks entirely to the wonderful Carmen Niehaus and her magnificent pavlova celebration of spring. In one dazzling swirl of her magic wand, all my cares and niggling concerns disappeared. I was caught up in the joy and wonder that makes your magazine such a valuable source of the things that help to keep one’s outlook inspired and positive. And to keep the gloom in perspective.

So I made that gorgeous pavlova – and that evening my family dined on toasted cheese sandwiches and feasted on Carmen’s fairytale creation!

You know something, we’ve been going through a difficult time recently. But that evening turned out to be one of the happiest, bubbliest family occasions in ages. All thanks to the experienced magazine people who understand what life is really like and how to give us that precious lift of the spirits when we need it most. DEE, EMAIL
