Sex and the City 3 cancelled
In a blow to fans of Sex and the City, production on what would have been the third movie has been called off – and it’s all thanks to one of its stars, KIM CATTRALL.
Apparently the demands by the 61-year-old, who plays sex-addict PR queen Samantha Jones, were too much for Warner Bros who promptly shut down pre-production on the much-anticipated offering. “Kim had the audacity to tell Warner Bros that she’d only do this if they made other movies she had in development. Ridiculous. Who does she think she is − George Clooney?” a source told the website DailyMail TV. “Everyone was looking forward to making this movie but Kim made it all about her, always playing the victim.”
SARAH JESSICA PARKER (52, who plays stiletto-wearing writer Carrie Bradshaw) who along with co-stars KRISTIN DAVIS (52, conservative art dealer Charlotte York) and CYNTHIA NIXON (51, level-headed lawyer Miranda Hobbes) had all signed on for the project, revealed her disappointment while attending a recent event in New York.
“We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that's been so vocal in wanting another movie,.”
The latest development is a blow to the cast too. “Some of them have to rearrange their lives. People turned down other jobs, some were in the process of relocating to New York,” an insider says. Eish.
