STAY WHERE YOU ARE, OPRAH

Oprah may well be a product of the American dream, but there are millions of her compatriots living the “American nightmare”.

The implosion of the US economy happened under Democratic rule over an eight-year period – factories closed down as the cunning Chinese picked up much of America’s manufacturing.

In addition once-great American car manufacturers closed down, allowing Japanese and Korean manufacturers to take over much of the market.

Democrats are a flaky lot and America needs powerful leadership to ensure that the Chinese in particular don’t become the next superpower.

I’d love to see more winter sports, symphony concerts, ballets, operas, art appreciation, language instruction, farming and animal husbandry, bowls, darts, archery . . . my list is endless. VICKY HARRIS, EDENVALE

SSABC3’s shows WTFTumi and Trending SA are the biggest load of rubbish. The presenters act like children and are very loud. Save us from such junk. DAWN, SMS
