“My bad fashion moments are thankfully in the past. But my worst was my matric dance suit – and the picture is so bad as well.

“I went for thaat baggy, oldschool R&B-vibe suit that was shiny with leather lapels. It was so huge as well. That was my worst look ever and that picture haunts me on Facebook all the time.” They’re known for always putting their best fashion foot forward – which is why TV presenters ROXY BURGER and KATLEHO SINIVASAN will host the first season of How Do I Look? South Africa, which hits the small screen next month. Based on the hit US show, each episode features style-challenged participants from all walks of life as they embark on a makeover with the help of Roxy, Kat and a professional glam team. Roxy and Kat might be known for their style but they’ve made the odd fashion blunder too. We asked them to share their biggest fashion faux pas with us.

ROXY

“I wore a hideous outfit to the Durban July once. At the time neon was on trend, so I basically vomited neon all over myself. I even had neon accessories. It was just too much. I wore a denim shirt and a tutu because I wanted to be Sarah Jessica Parker. “Everything was neon – neon earrings, heels, necklace, rings, everything! I looked terrible. I own that, though. I have fun with fashion, and I’m not going to get it right all the time. But I’d rather have fun with it and be known as someone who takes a bit of a risk here and there.” How Do I Look?
