It’s said the Egyptian queen Cleopatra bathed in milk as part of her beauty routine. Filling your tub with milk is a little over the top, so rather opt for soap that contains this ingredient. Milk soaps such as goat’s milk can be good for your skin. It has a calming effect on skin and gives you a luxurious feel.

Oatmeal isn’t just a healthy breakfast food, it has wonderful beauty benefits. Oatmeal soap is great for people with dry skin because it gets rid of excess oil without drying the skin.

Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic. It also helps to reduce oil on your skin, making it perfect for people with acne and/or oily skin.

Almond oil contains vitamin E and people with dry or irritated skin can benefit from its soothing and moisturising properties. Soaps that contain ground almond shells are perfect for exfoliating the skin and removing dead cells from its surface.

Aloe vera gel is fantastic for your skin. When used in soap it gets rid of oil and dirt, but it’s also calming and soothing, making it great for sensitive skin.
