THE ATTENBOROUGH FACTOR
What would a nature documentary be without the gentle, captivating narration of David Attenborough?
The renowned naturalist, who turned 91 in May, is once again behind the microphone in Blue Planet 2. Last year he narrated the hugely successful Planet Earth 2 series, which drew as many as 10 million viewers per episode.
Despite his age, Attenborough has lost none of his enthusiasm and respect for Mother Nature.
“I’m truly thrilled to be joining this new exploration of the underwater worlds which cover most of our planet, yet are still its least known,” he says.
“There’s no question at all that we’ve only just scratched the surface as to what lies in the deep sea.”
